I find it disheartening when genuine business opportunities are dismissed as scams simply because they exist online.

The internet, while vast, is also a space where legitimacy can be readily demonstrated. Businesses like ours, that go the extra mile to provide transparency – such as prominently displaying business registration numbers such as an “ABN” – deserve recognition for their commitment to ethical practices.

Such steps build trust, and help differentiate legitimate ventures from the less scrupulous ones.

The irony is striking: many people hesitate to explore legitimate online business opportunities, yet readily engage in activities with significantly higher risks, like online gambling.

The odds in such scenarios often favour the house, yet the willingness to risk money is far greater than the willingness to invest in a potentially beneficial savings platform.

This contrast highlights a need to reconsider the assumptions we make about online ventures and to approach each opportunity with a balanced perspective.

I have written a book called “Money and Happiness” this book is based around the financial experiences we had when we decided to move to Spain to build our family home. We were caught in the middle of the GFC (Global Financial Crisis) with 2 small children.

I vowed to never rely on a local economy again, as they are so vulnerable and easily wiped out when commerce goes wrong.
